Сonditions under which containers at the port of Odessa region will be weighed.

In particular, weighting of such goods will be applied according to the results of the definition in the risk management system, including results of comparing information that is provided by the sea agents and declared in the customs declarations and other shipping documents. In other cases, goods and containers in which they are shipped must pass customs clearance without additional weighting.

 

According to Vitaliy Naumenko, Deputy of the Minister of Revenue and Duties of Ukraine, this step will allow importers/exporters in the future do not waste time and money on the unreasonable measures . In addition, among other things, the decision of Customs Department minimizes the risks of corruption in the work of the officials in the Southern Customs.

 

The above decision was the result of a systematic  analytical work of the Department and also  as a result of consequence proposals, which were given  during regular meetings with the leadership  of the Ministry of Revenue and Duties .
