EU trade preferences for Ukrainian exporters will take effect from April 23, 2014

Trade preferences granted by the EU for Ukrainian exporters will take effect on April 23, 2014, reported the press office of the Council of Europe. “Resolution about extension of the unilateral trade preferences will come into force on April 23, it is next day after the scheduled publication in the Official Journal, » was said in a statement.  The Council of the European Union for Foreign Affairs approved the unilateral cancellation of customs fees on the export for Ukrainian goods to the EU.  On March 11, 2014 the European Commission decided to reduce temporarily customs fees for Ukrainian goods imported to the EU  and the European Parliament on April 3 supported this proposal . Positive economic impact is estimated about 487 million euros per year for Ukrainian exporters because of the cancellation or reduction of customs tariffs in the EU part of this decision. Preferential terms against Ukraine will be in effect until November 1, 2014.
